Nova Southeastern University – Shepard Broad School of Law’s original radio station(“WLAW”) began in early April, 2006. Soon thereafter, noting the programs instant success, administration agreed to acquire the station. Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad School of Law became the nation’s first, “ABA” accredited law school, to promote a “student-run” radio station.
WLAW’s studio was built, just inside the Law Library and Technology Center, exclusively for the station and it’s guests.
WLAW is a worldwide internet radio platform providing a wholly unique forum for legal thought and dialogue. The station aims to foster interaction between students, professors, and the rest of legal community. As the “first voice in law school radio,” WLAW seeks to achieve worldwide recognition as an innovative medium for law school communication.
