The creation of WLAW began in April 2006. Early in 2007, the school’s administration agreed to acquire the station, then known as NSULaw Radio, and host it on its Web site, making it the first ABA accredited law school with a student-run radio station. A studio was built inside the Law Library and Technology Center exclusively for the station and the name was eventually changed to WLAW.
WLAW was the very first law school radio station in the nation!!
WLAW is a worldwide internet radio station which provides a unique forum for educational thought. It fosters interaction among students, professors, and the entire legal community. It is a student-created radio station and shall remain a student-run radio station. Being the “first voice in law school radio,” WLAW seeks to achieve worldwide acknowledgment as being the most innovative medium for law school communication.
